LSEZ JSC „Liepajas osta LM” is the leading company in the port of Liepaja, handling over more than 25% of the total cargo turnover in the port. LSEZ JSC “Liepajas osta LM” retains these positions due to the well-developed infrastructure of cargo transshipment terminals, technological provision and diversified port and transport services, allowing to offer the customers complex and most favourable cargo transportation solutions.
Construction of the terminal for handling ferroalloys was implemented as a joint project with the cargo owners by attracting partial co-financing from the company of cargo owners. Terminal was commissioned in 2009. Cargo carrying capacity of terminal: 100 000 tons per annum. According to the cooperation conditions LSEZ JSC „Liepajas osta LM” provides the stevedoring services.
Expansion of terminal is planned in 2011 by implementing the second building layer of the terminal, financed by the cargo owners.
